Tuition Reimbursement Program

The Tuition Reimbursement Program provides financial assistance for you to acquire skills and knowledge that may help prepare you for future job responsibilities. The program covers associate, undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate degrees (excluding executive MBA programs). It does not cover non-degree courses, seminars, certifications, preparatory exams (e.g., GRE, GMAT) and/or professional exams (e.g., CPA).

Under the traditional tuition reimbursement program, Allegion will reimburse up to 100% percent of the eligible expenses, to a maximum of $8,000 per calendar year less applicable taxes. Note: The $8,000 reimbursement limit is per calendar year of the actual reimbursement and not necessarily the year the courses were taken.

Eligible expenses may include:

  • Tuition
  • Laboratory and registration fees
  • Course textbooks

Before enrolling, you must complete and submit the Requests for Pre-Approval and Reimbursement in Workday. This includes uploading your documentation. The Workday request process will automatically route to your manager, HRBP, and Benefits Team, for the appropriate approvals. For more information, review the Tuition Reimbursement Policy.

Tuition Reimbursement for Technical Certificates

This policy provides financial assistance for certain educational expenses related to technical certificates (not professional certificates). This policy does not apply to associate, bachelor, graduate or post-graduate degrees.
